Fury vs. Wilder 3 betting odds

Fury vs. Wilder 3 summons two images for Pennsylvania online sports bettors: anticipation and temptation.

Saturday’s bout from Las Vegas satisfies both standards. It is an excellent betting fight.
The anticipation has been there ever since February of 2020, when Tyson Fury seized the WBC heavyweight championship from Deontay Wilder with a seventh-round knockout. That bout had been a rematch of a compelling 2018 draw, in which Wilder salvaged a draw with two late knockdowns.

Result of first two fights: A draw in 2018 and a knockout victory by Fury in 2020.

To the fans, this is a thrill-ogy. To bettors, this is a money-making opportunity. Thus, the temptation. Fury, 30-0-1 with 21 knockouts, is the solid -295 favorite with Wilder +230 according to DraftKings PA.

A Wilder bettor’s first wager will likely be the moneyline, while a Fury backer will look at props. And there are plenty.

The over-under on rounds is 8.5. The over is +105 and the under is -130.
The last fight ended in seven rounds.

Bettors have several choices regarding knockout rounds.
For Fury that includes +2800 for a first-round knockout, +1200 for a seventh-round victory, which he attained last time, and +2800 to triumph in the final round. A decision victory is +260.

For Wilder, the same outcomes are +4000 for a first-round knockout, +2800 for a triumph in round seven and +8000 to prevail in round 12.

A Wilder decision is +1600. A draw is +2200. All of those bets, however enticing, are longshots.

FanDuel addresses recent history between the fighters.

  • Will Fury be knocked down? Yes is +205
  • Will Wilder be dropped? Yes is -126

Each fighter has put the other on the canvas over the course of the first two fights. FanDuel also reflects an edge in Fury sentiment as the fight gets closer. He was up to -350 on Monday.

Wilder gives boxing bettors a ride

He gives gamblers the impression anything can happen. Wilder won his title with a 12-round decision over Bermaine Stiverne in 2015. Two years later, in a rematch, Wilder knocked Stiverne out in one round. Wilder was on his way to losing the first battle with Fury, but summoned the power for two late knockdowns to steal a draw.

In the 12th, he dropped Fury with a ferocious right hand that looked as though it would end the bout. Fury miraculously rose at 9, beating the count by one second, and survived the round.
If a similar scenario happened in this fight, it would change a looming +2800 for a final-round knockout by the favorite into a +2200 draw and most likely have different bettors winning.

Wilder vs. Fury 3 fight analysis

Stamina has been a concern for Wilder. His 42-1 mark includes 41 knockouts, most of them early. Stiverne represents his only decision victory. His only other 12-round verdict was a draw with Fury. In the rematch, Wilder looked gassed.

Wilder replaced respected trainer Mark Breland with Malik Scott  whom he once knocked out after the loss to Fury. Breland, a former welterweight champion, is highly regarded. This is considered a downgrade.

Fury has dominated the two fights, except for the two knockdowns in the first fight.

Major Factors: Fury is stronger and walked through Wilder in the last fight. Logic says he can do it again. But Wilder has ferocious power.
