Kentucky resident wins coveted $1 million prize
According to Kentucky Lottery officials, a Northern Kentucky resident won $1 million in the last Mega Millions drawing. Although the winner has not yet been identified, Lottery officials disclosed that the winner is a Fort Mitchell resident.
The ticket matched all five numbers but narrowly missed winning the whole jackpot by not matching the Mega Ball. As a recap, the winning numbers were 24 – 25 – 47 – 52 – 57 with a gold Mega Ball of 24. Although the winner whiffed on the $117 million jackpot, the second-place prize still propels the undisclosed winner to millionaire status.
Notably, staff members will still need to conduct security checks at the retailer that sold the winning ticket. When these checks are complete, then the name of the retailer is released.
