Prop bet Eagles and Steelers Week 2

Two wins. Two touchdowns. Can the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, and their respective quarterbacks hit that number? Such is the beauty of prop bets. Each week there are questions to consider and wagers to ponder. And if you can land on the right side of them, your bank account grows bigger.

Last week, both of Pennsylvania’s NFL teams started the season 1-0 with a pair of road wins. The Eagles rolled in Atlanta and the Steelers shook off a sluggish start to win at Buffalo.

Now, the Steelers and the Eagles are both at home for their Week 2 contests. Pittsburgh hosts the Las Vegas Raiders at 1 p.m Sunday. San Francisco will face Philadelphia at the same time.

And just like last week, there are plenty of prop bets loaded up at Pennsylvania sportsbooks.
Let’s look at some of our favorites before the games kick off on Sunday.

Can Big Ben or Jalen Hurts toss 2 TDs?

DraftKings Sportsbook has set the over/under for passing touchdowns by Big Ben and Jalen Hurts at 1.5 each

Ben Roethlisberger’s Over is priced at -190, with the Under priced at +140.

Meanwhile, Hurts has an Over at +110 and the Under set at -145.

What will Miles Sanders do for an encore?

Eagles running back Miles Sanders had a strong Week 1 performance, rushing for 74 yards and racking up 39 yards receiving in Philadelphia’s win over Atlanta. On Sunday, DraftKings has his rushing total set at 64.5 for the Week 2 matchup with San Francisco. Both the over and under are priced at -115.

Which side are you picking?

How will Najee Harris perform in his home debut?

Steelers rookie running back Najee Harris will play in front of his home crowd at Heinz Field for the first time in a regular season game on Sunday. He rushed for just 45 yards in Week 1 at Buffalo, but DraftKings has set his total for rushing yards at 76.5 this week.

Both sides of the over/under are priced at -115.

Other props for Harris in Sunday’s game include:

  • Rushing Attempts: Over 18.5 (-120)/Under 18.5 (-110)
  • Longest Rush: Over 16.5 (-120)/Under 16.5 (-110)

Can the Eagles offense explode again?

Philadelphia’s offense produced four touchdowns and 434 yards of total offense against Atlanta, a healthy output in the season opener. In Week 2, the Eagles team total is set at 23.5 points.

The over/under for the team’s touchdowns is set at 2.5. The Over is priced at -140. The Under is set at +100.

Steelers wide receiver prop bets

Pittsburgh has a deep receiving corps that includes Juju Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool. Harris is also an effective receiver.

Last week, Smith-Schuster led the team in receiving yards with 52 against Buffalo, finishing slightly ahead of Claypool’s 45. However, DraftKings Sportsbook expects Johnson to lead the way this week, with a receiving yardage over/under set at 66.5.

The other Steelers receivers’ have totals as follows:

  • Juju Smith-Schuster: 53.5
  • Chase Claypool: 46.5
  • Najee Harris: 21.5

DeVonta Smith Week 2 prop bet on move

Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith had a solid debut for the Eagles, catching six passes for 71 yards and a touchdown against the Falcons last week. He led the team with eight targets as well.

At BetMGM and DraftKings Sportsbook, Smith’s total yardage opened at 44.5 but as of Thursday night it moved to 49.5. His reception total is set at 3.5.

First drive props can provide quick payouts

Another fun prop bet focuses on the end result of each game’s first drive. Currently, players can only wager on whether or not the first drive will end with a made field goal.

Here are the respective prices for each game:

Raiders vs. Steelers – First Drive

  • Field Goal Made: Yes (+600)/No (-1200)

49ers vs. Eagles – First Drive

  • Field Goal Made: Yes (+550)/No (-1100)

However you watch, however you wager, the NFL’s Week 2 promises to provide plenty of action.

Both Pennsylvania teams started the season undefeated. Can they win again? And how will the players perform? Certainly, prop bets provide plenty of questions.

But the correct answers can pay out well.
