PA Props: Hurts Hopes Eagles Can Flush and Refresh, Steelers Could Use That Too in Week 4

Eagles and Steelers NFL Week 4 Props

The quote was rather gross. But it was pretty accurate too. When asked about the Eagles‘ performance against Dallas in a 41-21 loss last Monday, Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts reached for a bathroom analogy.

And he went for No. 2.

“…you don’t sit there and look at it,” Hurts said. “You flush it and move on. We gon’ flush it and move on.”

Although Hurts’ comments were cringe-worthy, they made sense. The Eagles were beaten in almost every facet of their game with the Cowboys.

And frankly, the same could be said of the Steelers. Pittsburgh only scored one touchdown and was thoroughly dominated in a 24-10 home loss to the Bengals. So it might be wise for both Pennsylvania teams to flush last week’s performance and move forward.

Philadelphia hosts Kansas City (-7) at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Steelers (+6.5) travel to Green Bay to face the Packers at 4:25 p.m.

And as always, there are plenty of bets posted at Pennsylvania sports betting apps to get you into the game.

Let’s take a look at some of the most interesting ones.

Will Big Ben bounce back?

Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger looked pretty bad in last Sunday’s loss to the Bengals. Videos floated around social media of Ben falling down untouched. Others criticized his constant check-down throws.

This week, Roethlisberger is up against one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks in Aaron Rodgers. And Pittsburgh will need a great game from Big Ben if they have any chance to win.

FOX Bet has Roethlisberger at +3600 to score the game’s first touchdown and +1400 to score a touchdown at any point. He’s also +4000 to score the last touchdown of the game.

Could you cash in on an Eagles touchdown?

FOX Bet has numerous odds posted on the first touchdown scorer in the Kansas City vs. Philadelphia game. And these Eagles props will provide some healthy returns if one of their players manages to score first. Here is the pricing for Philadelphia’s most prominent players:

  • Miles Sanders: +950
  • Jalen Hurts: +1050
  • DeVonta Smith: +1400
  • Kenneth Gainwell: +1500
  • Jalen Reagor: +1800
  • Quez Watkins: +2000
  • Zach Ertz: +2300

Pricing is also available on several other players, with even better odds. If the Eagles cross the goal line first, some people will reap the rewards.

Pittsburgh’s offense has to be better, right?

The Steelers offense seemed to approach rock bottom last Sunday, scoring just 10 points at home. FOX Bet has team totals posted for Pittsburgh in Sunday’s game and the sportsbook seems to expect a better performance from the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s pricing for the Green Bay game starts at 12.5 points.

Could Jalen Hurts carve up the Chiefs?

Hurts tossed two interceptions against the Cowboys, but still recorded 326 passing yards and two touchdowns. On Sunday, FOX Bet has his passing yardage total set at 235.5 yards. The over is priced at -105, while the under is at -118.

Hurts’ passing touchdown total is set at 1.5. For that wager, the over is +115 and the under is -138.

Can Najee Harris propel the Steelers?

Najee Harris‘ performance might have gotten erased by Pittsburgh’s loss last Sunday. Harris, Pittsburgh’s rookie running back, had 14 catches and 102 yards receiving, along with 40 yards rushing. After three games, Harris has yet to score a rushing touchdown.

However, FOX Bet thinks he has a chance in Green Bay. Harris is listed at +625 to be the first touchdown scorer and +100 to score a touchdown at any point.

Will DeVonta Smith re-emerge for the Eagles?

Smith, the rookie wide receiver from Alabama, had a rather quiet game in Dallas on Monday, finishing with only three catches and 28 yards. FOX Bet’s pricing suggests a bounce-back game, with Smith’s receiving yardage total set at 50.5. The Over is priced at -105, while the Under comes in at -125.

Can Week 4 bring something better?

After disappointing performances in Week 3, both Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are hoping for better days in Week 4 of the NFL on Sunday.

As Hurts said, last week stunk.

It’s time to flush that and move on.
