The quote was rather gross. But it was pretty accurate too. When asked about the Eagles‘ performance against Dallas in a 41-21 loss last Monday, Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts reached for a bathroom analogy.
And he went for No. 2.
“…you don’t sit there and look at it,” Hurts said. “You flush it and move on. We gon’ flush it and move on.”
Although Hurts’ comments were cringe-worthy, they made sense. The Eagles were beaten in almost every facet of their game with the Cowboys.
And frankly, the same could be said of the Steelers. Pittsburgh only scored one touchdown and was thoroughly dominated in a 24-10 home loss to the Bengals.So it might be wise for both Pennsylvania teams to flush last week’s performance and move forward.
Philadelphia hosts Kansas City (-7) at 1 p.m. Sunday. The Steelers (+6.5) travel to Green Bay to face the Packers at 4:25 p.m.
