It’s the Big Ten’s biggest game. And the action is no longer confined to the field. No. 4 Penn State faces No. 3 Iowa at 4 p.m. on Saturday and FanDuel Sportsbook is adding even more excitement to another massive college football betting weekend.
FanDuel’s famous Spread the Love promotion is back – but this time there’s a twist.

Both Penn State and Iowa fans can move the betting line in their favor.
For every 500 customers in Pennsylvania who bet on Penn State in the special “Spread the Love” wager, FanDuel will move the spread one point in the Nittany Lions favor.
The Penn State spread began Tuesday at +0.5 with odds at +100. At press time, the betting line had moved to Penn State +47.5 (Max bet is $25).
And on the other side, for every 100 customers in Iowa who bet on Iowa in their special “Spread the Love” market, FanDuel will move the spread one point in the Hawkeyes favor.
The Iowa spread began Tuesday at +0.5 with odds at +100 and has also seen massive movement.
Kickoff is still a few days away. And there’s no limit to how good the line can get for either team. Every wager placed in the markets will also receive the final spread regardless of what spread the bet is placed on.
Penn State-Iowa is the latest game to feature FanDuel’s famous promotion
FanDuel’s “Spread the Love” promotional spreads were introduced in 2019 and players have been reaping the rewards in various states ever since.
Here’s a brief rundown of the promotion’s history:
- The Arizona Cardinals moved to +140.5 against the Minnesota Vikings last month (AZ only)
- Indiana Hoosiers moved to +118 vs Michigan State last February (IN Only)
- The Colts wound up with a +51 spread against the Saints last December (IN only)
- 76ers point spread closed at +59.5 against the Bucks earlier this year (PA only)
- Denver Nuggets spread closed at +117 against the Clippers in August (CO only)
On Saturday, another epic entry will be added to the list of “Spread the Love” wins.
But for those seeking larger bets or other wagers for Saturday’s game, FanDuel has a number of traditional options too.
Oddsmakers predict close game Saturday
Currently, Penn State is a 2.5-point underdog on the traditional betting line. The Nittany Lions are +102 on the moneyline, while the Hawkeyes are -124. The game’s total is set at 41.5 points.
FanDuel also has odds available on same-game parlays, which combine point spread or moneyline bets with the game’s total.
It all starts Saturday at 4 p.m. when the biggest game of the Big Ten’s season thus far kicks off in Iowa City.
Both teams are 5-0. And another win will help propel their perfect seasons toward the College Football Playoff.
The spread is close. And the total is fairly low at 41.5.
Nothing will come easy on the field.
