$10 million Double Play ticket sold in MD
It was just a matter of time before there was a first Powerball Double Play ticket drawn for $10 million. On Sept. 27, around one month after the launch of Double Play, the historic winner was drawn.
As a reminder, Double Play is a $1 add-on feature, giving players another opportunity to match their selected numbers in a drawing. The game’s top prize is $10 million and Double Play is a secondary drawing that takes place following the regular drawing. Players use the same numbers played on the Powerball ticket.
Rockville Exxon located at 11433 Rockville Pike in Maryland sold the winner. As a recap, the Sept. 27 Double Play winning numbers were 2 – 27 – 51 – 62 – 66 with a Powerball of 1. The Rockville Exxon earns an additional $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
