Tonight’s Powerball jackpot hits an estimated $370 million for April 20. A winner tonight could choose to take the cash value of the prize in a single payment, which would be about $222.8 million.
When the top prize gets this high, it usually sparks more ticket sales, causing more winners. This time around, there were no second-tier winners of the $1 million prize. However, 13 players hit the third-tier prize of $50,000 by matching four out of five of the white balls, plus the red Powerball. Seven more matched the same combination, but with Power Play on their tickets, which doubled their prizes to $100,000. Three of those lucky players bought their tickets here in PA.

Holy smoke! Three PA players take home $100,000 each
That’s right, the Powerball drawing on Monday produced three $100,000 winners in PA. All three matched four of the five white balls, in addition to the red Powerball in the April 18 drawing.
Without the Power Play option on those tickets, the prizes would have been $50,000. Power Play costs an additional $1, and can multiply prizes other than the jackpot up to 10x. A new multiplier number is drawn with each drawing.
Winners aren’t known until they claim their prize and have their tickets validated by the PA Lottery. Monday’s winning tickets were sold at the following lottery retailers. Always check your tickets!

Those retailers all receive a bonus of $500 from the PA Lottery for selling the winning tickets.
