With six Mega Millions drawings in a row with no big winner, the jackpot has reached a whopping $86 million for tonight’s drawing, on May 10. The cash value of the Grand Prize is estimated at $49.1 million. That’s the amount a jackpot winner can choose to take in a single lump sum payment, before taxes.
There have been four Mega Millions jackpot winners so far this year. The first one was the largest at $426 million, hit on Jan. 28 by a player in California. The cash value was $292.9 million.
The two most recent jackpot wins happened within the same week in April, making millionaires out of two lucky players in Minnesota and Tennessee.

Deadline is here for latest Second-Chance drawing
You’re running out of time if you plan on entering your eligible tickets into the PA Lottery’s Raining Riches Second-Chance Drawing. The top prize for this one is $100,000. The deadline for entry is Thursday, May 12. Winners will be announced on May 27.
Tickets for any PA Lottery draw game purchased between Tuesday, March 29 and Thursday, May 12, are eligible. This includes Mega Millions, Powerball, Treasure Hunt, Cash 5, Match 6, Cash4Life, the PICK games, and Keno. Non-winning tickets and tickets that have won a prize are both eligible.
