The heat is on, jackpot hopefuls! The Mega Millions jackpot has skyrocketed for this Friday night drawing. $480 million is up for grabs tonight, July 15. The lump sum cash value of the prize comes to $276 million for a potential winner, before taxes.
The jackpot has increased by $70 million since just last Friday, landing it on the list of the top ten Mega Millions jackpots of all-time. Currently holding the No. 10 spot, the $480 million figure is $29 million more than the previous prize to hold that position. Interestingly, two of the 10 largest jackpots were hit in the month of July in previous years.

In PA Lottery news, a Sunoco store in Westmoreland County sold a big winner this week. One lucky player won $1 million on a scratch-off called $1,000,000 Cash Corner$. That store, at 311 West Otterman St. in Greensburg, earned a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
