It’s only been three weeks since the last big Powerball jackpot was hit in Vermont. In that short time, the jackpot has soared to an estimated annuity value of $101 million for July 20. The cash value of the prize is $58.7 million before withholding, for a potential winner who chooses to take the money in a single upfront payment.

In the previous drawing, there was a big PA winner who matched four of the five white balls, plus the red Powerball. That lucky player won $50,000 for hitting that combo. Will you be the next PA Lottery player to come away with a nice Powerball payday?

Check the Powerball winning numbers below, after the drawing at 11 p.m. ET.

A narrow miss is still a big win with the PA Lottery

The odds of matching some combination of five balls are much better than the odds of hitting the jackpot. For Powerball, the odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. You’re more than 24 times more likely to hit the second-tier prize of $1 million, with its odds of about 1 in 12 million. That requires a player to hit all five white balls drawn.

Hitting four of the first five balls, plus the red Powerball like the PA player did on Monday, has odds of 1 in 913,129. Another PA player hit that win recently in Cambria County. That player bought their ticket online with the Power Play option for the April 20 drawing and won $100,000.

Power Play won’t increase your chances of winning, but it will always increase your prize if you do win. For an additional $1 per play, the ticket add-on multiplies all lower-tier prizes. The $1 million prize is always doubled to $2 million, whereas the rest of the prizes have a chance to be multiplied by up to 10x.
