Powerball brings winners across PA

With several ways to win on Powerball, there were many other great prizes awarded in Monday’s drawing. For example, a player right here in Pennsylvania nabbed a $100,000 win by matching four of the first five white balls, plus the red Powerball.

That player in Lancaster County paid an extra $1 for the Power Play option when buying their ticket. Without that option, the ticket would have been worth $50,000. The multiplier drawn was 2x. The Sheetz store where the ticket was sold, on W. Main St. in New Holland, earns a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

More than 21,700 other PA tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing, including more than 5,400 purchased with Power Play. Winners aren’t immediately known until ticket holders claim their prizes. In PA, winning Powerball tickets expire one year after the drawing in which they win a prize.
