It’s been a huge month for both of the multi-state lotteries, with three jackpots hit in April so far. As for tonight, the Mega Millions jackpot has reached $43 million for April 29. The lump sum cash value comes in at a solid $25.9 million.
Mega Millions awarded two of the jackpots won this month– both in one week. The first big winner hit a $110 million win on April 12, and another top prize was snagged in the very next drawing on April 15. The second big winner of the week took the starting jackpot of $20 million.

Winners of April’s first jackpot claim their prize
The winners of the April 12 Mega Millions prize have chosen not to have their identities made public, but they did claim their prize and speak with lottery officials in Minnesota, where the winning ticket was sold.
The married couple said that lottery tickets have been a tradition for them that started when the first MN scratch-off tickets came out in 1990. Way back then, on their first date, the couple played the new lottery tickets over pizza.
The winning wife said she’s been playing mostly the same set of numbers all these years, and recently started playing them more regularly.
She added, “Thank goodness! If I had seen those numbers and I didn’t have a ticket …”
Congratulations to the winners, and to Holiday Stationstores in Ramsey, MN, where the ticket was sold. The business receives a $50,000 bonus for selling the big winner.
