It’s only the first day of summer, but it’s already shaping up to be a hot one. At least when it comes to Mega Millions prizes. The current jackpot for June 21 is up to a whopping $290 million. The last three jackpot winners combined took home less than that!
The lump sum cash value of the prize is about $162 million.
In the previous drawing on Friday, three players came scary close to hitting the big prize. Tickets sold in California, Florida, and Texas all matched the first five numbers, but fell short of matching the gold Mega Ball. Those players are still rewarded handsomely, with the CA ticket winning $1 million, and the other two winning $2 million.
The FL and TX players paid an extra $1 for the Megaplier when buying their tickets. A multiplier of 2x was drawn, resulting in their prizes being doubled.

The PA Lottery’s mascot, Gus the groundhog, is taking another opportunity to remind you to “keep on scratchin.” A new PA Lottery scratch-off features the state’s second-most famous groundhog, dressed to the nines walking the red carpet. The $5 ticket offers ten top prizes of $200,000.

Another low-cost ticket called The Lucky Spot is also new to the market. The $2 ticket offers ten top prizes of $20,000. This ticket contains two separate play areas.
Match two like prize amounts in the lucky spot to win, or reveal a lucky symbol to win the prize under the symbol in the main area.
$1,000,000 Cash Corners is the newest ticket that offers a fresh chance at winning a cool $1 million. This $20 game offers five top prizes of $1 million.
New online games for PA iLottery players
Online players weren’t left out of the latest additions to lottery offerings. Two new games called Road Trip Riches and Streaks of Luck were released on the PA iLottery app. Wager as little as 50 cents per play on these games, and instantly see any winnings right in your player account.
