As always, Powerball kicks off this new week with another life-changing jackpot up for grabs in tonight’s drawing. For April 11, the Powerball Grand Prize is an estimated $288 million. The lump sum cash value of the prize is $178.3 million before withholding.
In the previous drawing on Saturday night, a ticket sold in Puerto Rico matched all five white balls, but not the red Powerball. With Power Play equipped on that ticket, the lucky player won a prize of $2 million. Power Play is the $1 ticket option that multiplies all prizes other than the jackpot.
Over 8,600 players across PA had their lower-level prizes multiplied with Power Play on Saturday.

Previous Powerball drawing hit a snag
Over the weekend, the Powerball drawing was delayed for over three hours on Saturday night. One participating lottery needed additional time to complete the required security protocols.
The 48 participating lotteries must submit accurate ticket sales information and meet strict security protocols in order for the drawing to take place. This allows Powerball to report the official and verified number of prize winners, and calculate the next jackpot prize amount.
The drawing finally commenced at 2:35 a.m. and was live streamed at powerball.com. Recorded video was posted to Powerball’s website and YouTube channel.
