The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday, April 13 climbs to an estimated $302 million for this mid-week drawing. The lump sum cash value of the prize is $187 million. That’s the amount a single jackpot winner would get, before taxes, if they take the prize in a single payment.
A Powerball player in Pennsylvania won $100,000 in Monday’s drawing. The winning ticket, sold in Luzerne County, matched four of the five white balls drawn plus the red Powerball. Without Power Play, the prize would have been $50,000. Power Play is a ticket option that costs an extra $1, and multiplies lower-level prizes by the multiplier number drawn.
Over 32,000 players in PA won prizes in the last drawing. Prize amounts, other than the Grand Prize, range from $2 to $1 million.
