The Powerball jackpot continues to soar for this Monday night drawing. Less than three weeks after the most recent jackpot win, the new jackpot total is already up to $89 million for July 18. The lump sum cash value of tonight’s prize is $51.7 million.
A couple tickets from Saturday’s drawing won major prizes. A ticket sold in Connecticut won the largest prize, matching all five white balls drawn. That ticket is worth $2 million because it was purchased with the $1 add-on, Power Play.
Power Play multiplies all the prizes except the jackpot. The second-tier prize is always doubled with Power Play.
Another ticket, sold in North Carolina, matched the five white balls without Power Play, to win the $1 million prize.

That lottery retailer came out a winner, too, earning a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The winner of that great prize is not yet known. The winner must first claim their prize by filling out a claim form. A winning ticket worth that kind of scratch needs to be validated by the lottery office.
