Another Powerball drawing is in the books, and the Grand Prize gets yet another boost for tonight’s drawing. For June 15, the Powerball jackpot is estimated to be $258 million. A winner in tonight’s drawing would have the option to take the cash value of the prize in a single payment of $147.4 million.
There hasn’t been a jackpot winner in seven weeks, but Powerball has been having many $1 million winners lately. On Monday, two tickets sold in Illinois and New York hit prizes of $1 million. To win the second-tier $1 million prize, players have to match the first five numbers drawn. It only takes one more than that to hit the jackpot.

PA Lottery player wins big on Powerball
Pennsylvania is home to another big winner in the last Powerball drawing. A ticket sold in Shuylkill County is worth $100,000 after matching four of the five white balls, along with the red Powerball. That match usually wins a prize of $50,000, but this ticket had the Power Play option enabled. The $1 Power Play add-on multiplies lower-tier prizes. The Power Play multiplier drawn was 2x.
The winning ticket was sold at Smokin’ Joe’s Tobacco Shop on Kings Village Plaza in Minersville. The PA Lottery retailer gets a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The winner may not be known yet, so check your tickets. Those winning numbers from Monday were 2-27-42-44-51, and Powerball 25.
