The motto, “It pays to play” certainly worked out well for a California truck driver. Quang Vo, who is 59 years old from El Monte, California makes it a habit to buy a lottery ticket in every state he drives through.
Vo matched all five white balls drawn on Powerball for the Dec. 9, 2020 drawing to win the game’s second-place prize of $1 million. According to Vo, “I try to buy a lottery ticket in every state I pass through when I’m on the road. You never know when you could be a winner.”
Vo’s ticket was purchased from the Ocala Stopping Center located on 7401 West Highway 318 in Reddick, FL.
