Check Powerball numbers

At the last Powerball drawing, which took place on Wed., Dec. 1, the top prize was already up to $268 million. But once again, nobody picked all six numbers correctly. Therefore, the jackpot was rolled over to the next Powerball drawing, taking place Sat., Dec. 4 at 10:59 p.m.

This time, though, an even bigger jackpot is up for grabs. A ticket containing all six winning numbers is now worth a whopping $278 million. Or, if the recipient prefers, a lump sum cash option of $196 million could be taken instead.

Will tonight’s drawing produce the next Powerball multimillionaire?

Our last article revealed the Nov. 29 drawing results. No one picked either all six winning numbers or the five winning numbers without the Powerball. Therefore, there were no million-dollar or multimillion-dollar winners.

Also in the Dec. 1 drawing, no player won the Powerball jackpot or the second-best prize for correctly picking all five of the other numbers.

But sooner or later, one or more new millionaires or multimillionaires will emerge. It could be as soon as tonight, but, as always, you have to be in it to win it. Each ticket costs $2, or $3 if you select the Powerplay option.

Online lottery tickets don’t cost extra

If you would like the added convenience of buying your lottery tickets online at no extra cost, you can do so in 12 states, including Pennsylvania.

There’s also a special bonus for all first-time PA online lottery players. You get a $20 Free Play bonus plus a first deposit match bonus up to $500 for signing up through our links.

By the way, on Sat. Nov. 27, although no player won the Powerball jackpot, one third-place winner came from Pennsylvania. A player in Lycoming County, PA won $100,000 after matching four of the five white balls and the red Powerball. Luckily for the player, they spent an extra $1 for the Powerplay option. Otherwise, the ticket would have been worth $50,000.

If you play the lottery, play responsibly.
