Santa Claus isn’t the only big man bearing presents. Former Philadelphia 76er and NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley is featured in FanDuel’s holiday commercial. The Christmas campaign debuted on Dec. 21 during the NBA on TNT and features the sports betting app’s seven days of gifts for customers totaling over $7 million.
Charles Barkley teams with FanDuel
In July 2020, FanDuel became the exclusive sports betting provider for Turner Sports’ NBA programming and Bleacher Report NBA content. During the NBA on TNT which Barkley is an analyst, he offers his “Charles Barkley Guarantee” and odds from FanDuel Sportsbook are integrated into the broadcast.
“FanDuel helps our show be more informative and interactive, and they do it in a way that any knucklehead could understand,” said Barkley in a press release. “So even if your team is down by 20 in the fourth quarter, with FanDuel you’ll have a reason to keep watching.”
FanDuel and Charles Barkley announced a partnership in Dec. 2020 which made FanDuel Barkley’s exclusive sports betting and daily fantasy sports partner. In addition, he serves as a brand ambassador and spokesperson.

During the FanDuel Christmas commercial, a grown man sets out milk and cookies for Santa (same…but I leave him a beer, too) and “Santa” comes down the chimney but gets stuck.

“Come on, man, it’s Santa Barkley!”
Only the bottom half of Barkley appears in the commercial, since he remains “stuck” in the chimney throughout the 30-second commercial.

According to a press release from FanDuel, the “special offers from Santa Barkley” will be a surprise each day from Dec. 21 to Dec. 27 for customers at FanDuel sportsbook, FanDuel online casino and FanDuel DFS.
