Clinton County Woman Hits $1 Million Jackpot
A recent PA Lottery Match 6 winner was presented with a commemorative check today for her $1 million jackpot win. Representatives from the PA Lottery and Sheetz presented the check at the Sheetz store in Mill Hall where the ticket was sold. That store receives a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Match 6 is the $2 draw game with a rolling jackpot that grows every day until someone wins it. Players choose six numbers to play, and the lottery terminal automatically picks two more sets of six numbers, giving the player 18 numbers total on three lines. The tickets offer players four ways to win: one chance on each line (base play), and one by combining all 18 numbers (combined play).
Busy with her three kids and running Christmas errands, the winner, April Williams of Clinton County, didn’t check the ticket right away. Seeing the soaring Powerball jackpot while at the store reminded her to check her Match 6 ticket.
Quoted in a PA Lottery press release, Williams said, “The scanner said to file a Pennsylvania Lottery claim, $1 million! I said, ‘That can’t be right!’ I asked the clerk to check the ticket and her eyes became as big as saucers.”
