Another swing and a miss for Powerball players on Wednesday means the jackpot takes a hike to an estimated $137 million for Saturday, Feb. 5. The lump sum cash value clocks in at $94.4 million.

No one hit the top prize, but there was a $1 million winner in NY who hit the first five numbers, but not the Powerball. Another 12 players matched four out of the five white balls, plus the Powerball to win prizes of $50,000 or $150,000 with Power Play. Power Play is the $1 ticket add-on that multiplies all prizes except the jackpot.

How long is a premonition valid?

A Wisconsin man who recently won a $1 million Powerball prize said he’d always thought he would win.

Daniel Bellefeuille, who hit the big win on the Jan. 17 drawing told Powerball, “I had a dream ever since the Powerball started that I was going to win. This comes at the right time because I’m going to retire.”

Bellefeuille fetched his winning lottery ticket in the most Wisconsin way possible – while on a routine trip to fill his snowmobile with gas. The Marathon station in Spooner, WI will receive a $20,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Also known as WINsconsin, the state has had 19 Powerball jackpot winners since the game’s inception in 1992. The most recent jackpot won on Jan. 5 was hit by players in WI and CA. It was the seventh-largest total prize in Powerball’s history.
