In the five weeks since two separate tickets hit the Powerball jackpot on Jan. 5, the Top Prize for the game has grown to an estimated $172 million for Saturday, Feb 12. A jackpot winner in tonight’s drawing has the choice to take the lump sum cash prize of $117.3 million.
Just one lucky player in the previous drawing hit the second-tier win, for a prize of $1 million. The ticket, sold in NC, matched the first five numbers drawn but did not match the final number drawn – the red Powerball.
