In addition to Thanksgiving, two casinos are celebrating anniversaries. Mohegan Sun marks its 11th birthday with giveaways, and the Parx poker room will hand out cash in honor of its seventh birthday.

The state’s first legal casino, Mohegan Sun, celebrates its November 2006 debut with drawings offering $245,000 worth of slot free play. From noon to 10:05 p.m. each Saturday this month, one player will be chosen every 11 minutes to receive $1,111 in free play.
Any veteran who wins will receive an extra $100 in free play. There will be a second-chance drawing at 10:16 p.m. each Saturday for all unclaimed prizes. Players club members using a card at any slot machine or table game are eligible.
Birthday blingo
In another anniversary promotion, Mohegan Sun will award $130,000 in slot free play from 4 to p.m. each Friday during the month. $50,000 holiday slot tournaments
Valley Forge is hosting daily slot tournaments from Nov. 1 through Dec. 30 featuring 10 prizes of cash or free slot play. Valley club members redeem one point to enter the daily tournament, which has sessions roughly every 10 minutes between 3 and 7 p.m. Tournaments will not be offered on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
Winning Wednesdays
Valley club members can earn free play by picking the right horse while playing a slot machine. The casino will broadcast a recorded race each hour from 5 to 9 p.m. each Wednesday this month.
