Three Pennsylvania Lottery players are currently sitting on winning Cash 5 tickets worth more than a half million dollars each.

According to Pennsylvania Lottery officials, Pennsylvania Lottery retailers sold three winning tickets for the Cash 5 draw on Sunday, Nov. 25, which featured a $1.6 million jackpot.

Each ticket matched all five numbered balls in the draw, 03-05-07-35-41, and is worth $533,333.50 before taxes.

Nobody knows who bought the tickets just yet. However, Pennsylvania Lottery officials say they were sold at three different Pennsylvania Lottery retailer locations. The locations are:

  • Wegmans at 500 Montgomery Mall, North Wales, Montgomery County
  • Sunoco at 611 N. Enola Road, Enola, Cumberland County
  • 7-Eleven at 2 Heckel Road, McKees Rocks, Allegheny County

Each of these three Pennsylvania Lottery retailers will collect a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning tickets.

Winners have one year to claim

Cash 5 prizes expire one year from the date of the draw. Therefore, winners have one year to claim the prize and have the winning tickets validated.

The Pennsylvania Lottery advises anyone holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket to immediately sign the ticket and contact the nearest lottery office for further instructions on how to claim the prize.

More than 70,000 other Cash 5 tickets also won prizes in the Nov. 25 draw. The Pennsylvania Lottery advises players to check every ticket. Lower-tier prizes can be claimed at Pennsylvania Lottery retailers. Tickets can be checked at lottery retailers or through the PA Lottery app.

Cash 5 asks players to choose five numbers from 1 to 43. Tickets are $1 each. Players can choose their numbers or opt for computer-selected quick picks.

Players that match all five numbers win the jackpot or a share of it. However, prizes start when players match just two numbers. Cash 5 hosts nightly drawings.

The Pennsylvania Lottery claims the chances of winning a Cash 5 jackpot is 1 in 962,598. However, the chance of winning any prize is just 1 in 10.5.

Cash 5 history

The Pennsylvania Lottery launched Cash 5 in April 1992. It is now the Pennsylvania Lottery’s longest-running jackpot game.

Cash 5 originally asked players to select five numbers from 1 to 39 and featured weekly drawings. The drawings became nightly in 1998, and the numbers changed to 1 to 43 in February 2008.

The largest Cash 5 jackpot ever won was for just over $2 million in January 2017. It was shared by three winning tickets in Allegheny, Beave, and Lehigh counties.

That eclipsed the previous record jackpot of $1.9 million shared by two tickets in Lackawanna and Wayne counties in February 2013.

The largest single-ticket Cash 5 jackpot win was for $1,685,206 in Philadelphia in April 2011. A Somerset County man was also the sole winner of a $1,570,330 Cash 5 jackpot in January 2011.

Players must be 18 or older to purchase Cash 5 tickets or any other Pennsylvania Lottery products. This includes PA online lottery instant win games.
