On Nov. 25, FOX Bet and the Philadelphia 76ers officially announced a new partnership.
FOX Bet is the sports betting brand of FOX Sports and The Stars Group (PokerStars). In addition, Fox Bet is now an authorized gaming operator of the NBA.
Robin Chhabra, chief executive officer at FOX Bet, describes the excitement behind the new agreement.

FOX Bet entices PA and NJ customers
As a matter of fact, PA and NJ customers will see special offers and promotions throughout this NBA season. Such as, new customers who download and register for the FOX Bet sportsbook app earn a free $20 for a gratuitous first wager.
“FOX Bet has masterfully honed its unique brand positioning in the US; an experienced, longstanding European sportsbook, a savvy media company, and now an affiliation with the 76ers that further endears its brand and product to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey market and sports community,” said Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment’s chief commercial officer Adam Davis.
The crowding of branding continues
According to FOXBet’s press release, this unique partnership marks the first time an NBA team partners with an online and mobile sportsbook.
However, the 76ers already have partnerships with Caesars Entertainment and Parx Casino. Moreover, the home of the 76ers is also home to the NHL Philadelphia Flyers. The Wells Fargo Center, in partnership with the Flyers, entered into a multi-year branding deal with SugarHouse Casino.
Wells Fargo Center already features branding for SugarHouse Casino’s new name, Rivers Casino Philadelphia. The online operator PlaySugarHouse.com is transitioning to BetRivers.com.
Why is this important? As part of the deal, two BetRivers Lounges have been built in the Wells Fargo Center, so the online sportsbook operator, like the other casinos mentioned, also has prominent branding during 76rs games.
Certainly, when attending a 76ers game, you will be hit with an influx of ads from sports betting companies. While it is technically true that Fox Bet is the first sports betting app to partner with an NBA team, the numerous other partnerships and branding at Wells Fargo Center are just as prominent.
