Recent Powerball winners in PA and beyond
The numbers for the previous drawing on Saturday, Feb. 8 were: 35 – 49 – 50 – 59 – 66 and a Powerball of 06. The Powerplay was 2x. While no one hit every number, eight people matched four white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000. Three of them doubled their winnings to $100,000 with the Powerplay activated.
The last time the Powerball jackpot hit was Jan. 29 by a lotto player in Florida. That lucky winner claimed a $396.9 million jackpot that had rolled over 24 times.
The most recent winning jackpot ticket in PA was claimed by the Emerald Legacy Trust in the March 17, 2018 drawing. The cash prize was a whopping $273.9 million and the ticket was purchased at a Speedway in Manheim, Lancaster County.
Plenty others have claimed five- to six-figure Powerball wins recently in PA, however. That includes four $100,000 winners in January who matched four white balls with the Powerball and had the Powerplay activated (to double the normal $50,000 payout).
Odds are long but potential payouts are big
