Slowed sales mean changes
Ticket sales have declined recently because of retail closures aimed at coronavirus containment. As a result, the Mega Millions jackpot will start over at $20 million rather than $40 million, starting after the next grand prize is paid out.
The minimum roll amount is also changing. Previously, each time the jackpot did not hit, the next jackpot would increase by a minimum of $5 million. That minimum is no longer the case since sales patterns are disrupted.

Winning numbers on Tuesday, April 7 were 25 – 33 – 43 – 51 – 68. The megaball was 20 and megaplier was 2x.
One Florida player matched five white balls, but not the mega ball, meaning a win of $1 million. The player did not have the megaplier.
