It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another Powerball drawing. The jackpot is currently at $22 million after a $190 million jackpot hit last week in New Jersey. The cash option is currently at $17.7 million.
Read on to learn about recent changes lottery draw games and the winning numbers for April 15.
Changes to Powerball jackpot and roll amounts
Some of you may be asking: Why did the Powerball jackpot reset to $20 million? The Powerball Product Group recently announced a decision to reduce the reset amount from $40 million to $20 million and make the roll increase based on sales and interest rates.
The decision comes in the wake of coronavirus closures that have some lottery retailers temporarily out of business.
But the drawings will continue, lottery officials say, and you can purchase your tickets online in Pennsylvania. If you sign up at the PA iLottery platform through our links here, you can get $20 free and a generous deposit match bonus.
