It’s Wednesday, and time for another Powerball drawing. The Grand Prize is now up to $59 million after no one matched all six numbers on Saturday. The cash option for the current jackpot is estimated at $48.3 million.
The numbers for May 2 were 13 – 16 – 33 – 58 – 68 powerball 24 with a multiplier of 5x. With the $1 power play multiplier, winning tickets multiplied their prize money by five. That goes for all prizes besides the jackpot.
If you play the multiplier and match all five white balls, the payout doubles to $2 million. But no one matched all five in the last drawing.
Five tickets matched four white balls and the powerball to win $50,000. That would have been $250,000 with the multiplier in play, but none of them had it.

Amid continued statewide closures, Powerball remains. Some temporary changes have been made, though. When the next jackpot hits, it will reset to $20 million, rather than the usual $40 million.
