A PA Powerball player wins $1 million

The winning numbers for May 20 were 18 – 34 – 40 – 42 – 50 and the powerball was 9. The power play multiplier was 2x.

No one won the jackpot. One player lucky player from Pennsylvania matched all five white balls to win $1 million.

One person matched for white balls, the power ball and had the $1 multiplier to win $100,000. Four people matched four white balls and the powerball to claim $50,000.

Powerball winning numbers Saturday, May 22

Powerball drawings take place every Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. ET. Check back here for the winning numbers for May 22.

Winning numbers: 2 – 8 – 18 – 21 – 23 powerball 16

Power play multiplier: 4X

The Powerball and Mega Millions have some temporary changes in place due to COVID-19 precautions and closures. When the jackpot is hit, the Grand Prize will reset to $20 million, rather than the usual $40 million.

Roll amounts between drawings are now based on sales and interest rates, with no minimum guaranteed. But as this jackpot is a good indication, it continues to climb at a good pace.

Ticket expiration dates vary from 90 days to one year depending on where it is sold. The expiration date is often listed on the back of your ticket.
