The winning numbers for Friday, Oct. 2, were 9 – 38 – 47 – 49 – 68, with a gold Megaball of 25. Additionally, the $1 Megaplier option was 2X.
Although no one hit the Mega Millions jackpot, one lucky second-place ticket was sold in New York. The winner matched all five white balls, which makes the ticket worth $1 million.
The winning ticket was sold in Bay Shore, NY, out of a retailer called Shore Stationary and Gifts, at 184 Howells Road.
