PA Lottery sells $100K Powerball ticket in Wyoming County

On Saturday, Dec. 5, someone emerged from the Powerball drawing with $100,000 more in their pocket, figuratively speaking. For now, the winner has not claimed the prize, nor has the ticket been validated.

As a reminder, the winning numbers for Dec. 5 were 3 – 4 – 6 – 48 – 53, with a red Powerball of 10. The winner matched four of the five white balls plus the red Powerball. Additionally, this ticket’s buyer purchased the $1 Power Play option, which doubled the prize to $100,000. This means that the Power Play multiplier was 2X.

Specifically in the Keystone State, approximately 32,600 Powerball tickets won some type of prize. Of the 32,600 tickets, approximately 8,600 included the Power Play option.

Automatically check lottery tickets online

The PA Lottery constantly reminds players to check every ticket. However, if you choose to purchase online lottery tickets instead, the PA online lottery automatically notifies winners and pays out most prizes.

There are other states that allow for online lottery sales, too:

  • New York
  • Georgia
  • Illinois
  • Kentucky
  • Michigan
  • New Hampshire
  • North Carolina
  • North Dakota
  • Virginia

No matter how you play, remember that lottery games are for your entertainment purposes only. Please play responsibly.
