Wheel Of Fortune Triple Extreme Slots Online

Do you believe that “good things always come in threes?” You can put that saying to the test each time you play the Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme slot game.

Wheel of Fortune has been a staple on nighttime TV since 1975, making it one of the longest continuously running TV shows still on the air. It also ranks as one of the most popular TV shows of all time.

The slot game Wheel of Fortune and its multiple sequels that have been inspired by the TV show, including Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin, did not appear until many years later. However, Wheel of Fortune and its offshoots have become some of the most popular slots of of all time. Not only Pennsylvania online casinos but online and land-based casinos around the world offer these slots.

Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin basics

The Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin online slot game is a video slot by one of the most recognizable names in the slot manufacturing industry, IGT. Ever since IGT released it in 2018, it has been a big hit at online casinos all over the world.

Initially, you might be attracted to this game mainly by your curiosity about how much it resembles the TV show. But what will keep you glued to the screen and wanting to keep coming back for more are all of the following.

720 ways to win

Like the vast majority of other modern online slots, Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin has 5 reels. But unlike most slots, instead of being played with a fixed number of paylines, Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin features 720 ways to win!

An unusual layout (see the section on Special Features for a full description), combined with the fact that winning combinations can be formed in both directions, contribute to the 720 ways to win capability.

On most online slots, regular symbols only produce a payout when three or more like symbols line up adjacently on consecutive reels starting with the reel farthest to the left. Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin pays that way, too, but vertical position doesn’t matter, so the winning symbols don’t necessarily need to be adjacent. Furthermore, the winning combinations don’t stop there. This game also pays out when three or more like symbols land on consecutive reels starting with the reel farthest to the right.

In addition, more than one winning symbol on the same reel multiplies the amount of your win!

In other words, multiple winning combinations can be formed both from left to right and from right to left. This capability greatly increases the frequency of winning spins. It also makes playing more fun. The only drawback is that many of these wins are very small (much less than the amount of the wager). So you often feel like you’re winning even when you’re really not.

Opportunity to win fabulous prizes

Like the TV show which inspired it, Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin is a relatively simple game. But it has you keep coming back for more because it’s all about prizes and payouts and the opportunity to win big.

On the show, some contestants not only win lots of cash but other fantastic prizes worth thousands of dollars like cruises, expensive jewelry, and fancy cars. Slot players can only win cash, but the three highest paying regular symbols include a boat, an emerald ring, and a sports car.

Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin also includes two exciting bonus games: the Mini-Wheel Bonus and the Triple Extreme Spin Bonus. The latter is where you get to spin the Wheel of Fortune and have the potential to win the most.

It’s easy to see why millions of Americans and probably many of you love to watch the TV show night after night. Likewise, Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin is an online slot that you will want to play again and again.

No Bankrupt symbol in the online game to wipe out all of your winnings in a flash.

On most TV shows, the worst possible outcome for a contestant is simply not winning. But on Wheel of Fortune, anytime the dreaded Bankrupt symbol shows up, no matter how much a contestant has already amassed in cash and other prizes, all of it disappears instantly!

That won’t happen when you play Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin because there is no Bankrupt symbol. Of course, if you overbet your bankroll, experience a terrible run of luck, and/or play for an extended period of time, eventually, you could lose your entire playing stake. However, as long as you choose your bet size wisely and keep the length of your playing sessions reasonable, you can play this highly entertaining game without worry.

Great graphics and soundtrack

Last but not least, first impressions count, and Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin delivers just what you want it to as soon as you start playing. It’s a very colorful game but still easy on the eyes, while the accompanying soundtrack is upbeat and pleasant without being overpowering. It’s the perfect combination to brighten your mood.

Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin bet size

At most online casinos that offer this game, the range of permissible bets varies depending on whether you are playing for real money or in demo mode.

Real money

Players betting real money will find that the minimum and maximum bet size for Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin is the same as that for another IGT online slot with 720 ways to win–Siberian Storm. The number of coins you put into play on each spin is fixed at 50, but you can adjust the coin size up or down to suit your bankroll and playing style. The minimum coin size is .01 and the maximum is $5.00.

Simply multiply whatever coin size you choose by 50 to determine how much each spin will cost you. The minimum bet per spin is 50 cents while the maximum is $250. This is a wide enough betting range to accommodate the vast majority of players.

Demo mode

Unfortunately, if you want to try the game in demo mode first, you might have much less leeway. While the casino will start you off with a hypothetical bankroll of $1,000, the minimum coin size probably won’t be a penny but much higher. At most online casinos, the smallest coin size you can select for this game in demo play is $1. That would make the minimum bet per spin $50, which is already much higher than I would recommend for a $1,000 bankroll.

You can also choose a higher coin size–all the way up to $500, which would make the cost of each bet $25,000! Obviously, betting that much, even if you wanted to, would be mathematically impossible. Because the cost of each bet is the coin size multiplied by 50, the maximum coin value you can conceivably select without exceeding your bankroll would be $20. But doing so would be foolhardy. You would be risking your entire $1,000 bankroll on one spin!

You can play Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin with the same coin size and bet size in demo mode as with real money. At this casino only, whether you’re risking real money or not, the cost per spin can range from as little as 50 cents to as much as $250.

Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin RTP and volatility

Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin has a published theoretical return to player (or RTP) of 94.22%. This percentage is above average for slots in Pennsylvania brick and mortar casinos but only about average or slightly below for PA online slots. There are many online slots, especially those from NetEnt, which offer a higher RTP.

Keep in mind that the RTP is a theoretical estimate based on data obtained for many thousands of spins. Therefore, it might not be a reliable predictor of how you will fare in a particular playing session. In fact, the results could deviate significantly in either direction from what the RTP suggests. However, the RTP can give you a good idea about what percentage of your playing bankroll you can expect to receive back in winnings in the long run

Selecting online slots with a an above average RTP is preferable, particularly if you are playing with a limited bankroll. If you experience a losing streak early on, you have a better chance of having your luck turn around sooner rather than later, before your playing bankroll is too depleted to take advantage of it.

Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin is also described as a medium volatility slot. Volatility or variance refers to the likelihood that you will experience wild swings in your bankroll during the course of your play. The swings can be up or down or, most likely, a combination of both.

Medium volatility is what many slot players prefer. The game offers enough variance to keep it from becoming predictable and boring but not so much variance that tapping out early on becomes a strong possibility.

Which PA casinos offer the Triple Extreme Spin slot game?

As of this writing you can play this game either online or on iOS or Android mobile devices at the following PA online casinos only.

Given the great popularity of this online slot, it is surprising that not every PA online casino offers it. But keep checking, and be sure to check future PA gambling websites when they open, too.

Meanwhile, if you want to ease into the game by practicing in demo mode first, your best bet is Unibet.

Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin symbols

Regular symbols

The three higher paying symbols, in increasing order of value are a red sports car, an emerald ring, and a boat. All three make a lot of sense since they are the kinds of prizes contestants might actually win on the Wheel of Fortune TV show. However, the five lower paying fruit symbols–bananas, plums, oranges, cherries, and apples–seem out of place.

Winning combinations are formed whenever 3, 4, or 5 matching symbols appear consecutively on the reels in either direction starting with the outermost reel. The following table shows you how many coins a winning combination of 3, 4, or 5 of each symbol will pay.

Keep in mind that because this game gives you so many different ways to win, on many spins, you will get more than one winning combination. Also, as mentioned earlier, anytime the same winning symbol appears in more than one location on the same reel, it acts as a win multiplier.

Special symbols

Wheel of Fortune symbol

Wheel of Fortune is the name of the game. So it should come as no surprise at all that when three or more of this symbol land on the reels, the payout is huge–much more than you’ll get for a winning combination of any other symbol. The payouts are as follows:

  • 3 Wheel of Fortune symbols: 2,000 coins
  • 4 Wheel of Fortune symbols: 5,000 coins
  • 5 Wheel of Fortune symbols: 10,000 coins

Wild symbol

How could a slot game as wildly entertaining as Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin not have a wild symbol? But the designer could have come up with something more creative than a plain blue space with the word “WILD” printed on it in red. At least, you’ll recognize it instantly.

Like all of the other symbols described above, the wild symbol only appears in the main game, not in the bonus games. However, the wild symbol can only appear on reels 2, 3, and 4.

The wild symbol plays an important role in this game. It is capable of substituting for any other symbol except the Wheel of Fortune, scatter, and bonus symbol to help form or add to winning combinations. However, the payout is the same as it would be for the same number of symbols by themselves. The wild symbol does not act as a multiplier as it does in some online slots.

Scatter symbol

The multi-color scatter symbol has a wheel with the word “SCATTER” in large yellow print. Even if only one scatter symbol lands anywhere on the reels, it will start spinning while you wait impatiently to see if more will show up. You need three or more scatter symbols to show up simultaneously to trigger the Mini-Wheel Bonus.

Bonus symbol

The bonus symbol consists of not one wheel but three: a large wheel, a medium-size wheel, and a small wheel, each with pointers in different colors. Unlike the scatter symbol, which can appear on any reel, the bonus symbol appears on reels 2, 3, and 4 only.

Each time at least one of these symbols shows up, the word “BONUS” pops up over the symbol in red. But much more often than not, it’s a false alarm. You won’t get any bonus at all if only one or two bonus symbols land, which is often the case. It’s harder to get three or more bonus symbols than it is to get three or more scatter symbols, but that’s exactly what needs to happen to trigger the Triple Extreme Spin bonus.

What happens next is what everyone playing Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin impatiently waits for–the chance to spin the wheel and, if you’re super lucky, win a fortune!

Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin special features

This slot game is packed with special features, so whatever stakes you play for, expect the unexpected. There’s never a dull moment, thanks largely to the following.

Multi-Way Xtra feature

If you have never played a 720 ways to win slot, you owe it to yourself to try Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin. You’ll be amazed by the seemingly endless different ways you can win in this game.

How is this possible? For starters, this slot has a very unusual format. Most recently developed online slots contain five reels, three rows, and a fixed number of paylines but not Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin. Reels 1 and 5 contain three rows of symbols, reels 2 and 4 contain 4 rows, and reel 3 (the middle reel) contains 5 rows.

In addition, this game doesn’t just count as winning combinations three or more like symbols on consecutive reels going from left to right starting with the wheel farthest to the left. Winning combinations also occur when three or more like symbols land on consecutive reels going from right to left starting with the wheel farthest to the right! And the matching symbols don’t even have to be on the same row. Also, whenever a winning combination can be made with two or more matching symbols on the same reel, the amount of your win is multiplied.

The result is 720 different ways to win on every spin!

Mini-Wheel Bonus

The Mini-Wheel Bonus is triggered when three or more scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels. The scatter symbols immediately turn into wheels that start spinning in unison. They stop spinning in order of their location, from left to right. Once all of the wheels have stopped, the values that they land on are added and then multiplied by the triggering coin bet to determine your winnings.

You can win anywhere from 50 to 3,850 coins.

Triple Extreme Spin Bonus

If three or more bonus symbols show up at the same time, that’s even better. You trigger the Triple Extreme Spin Bonus.

It’s hard to do because the bonus symbol only appears on reels 2, 3, and 4. But the wait is worthwhile. Because most of your payouts in the main game will probably be small, by the time three or more bonus symbols finally appear, you might already have a lot of ground to make up to get back in the plus column. But as long as you don’t overbet your bankroll to the point where you tap out, luck is on your side. This is the one point in the game where you are most likely to recoup in a big way and maybe even pull way ahead. In one of my playing sessions, betting $50/spin in demo mode, I was behind exactly $200 when I triggered the Triple Extreme Spin Bonus, but I then went on to win $1,610!

How the Triple Extreme Spin Bonus works

As soon as you trigger the bonus, the screen will display 12 envelopes. The number of symbols that activated the bonus is the number of envelopes you get to select. Each envelope awards you with a red, blue, or yellow pointer.

The screen then switches to three different size wheels: a large red wheel, a medium-size blue wheel, and a small yellow wheel. Each wheel has three pointers in the same color. Therefore, depending on how many pointers of that color you have picked, one, two, or all three pointers on the corresponding wheel will light up. Each lit pointer will add to your winnings when you spin the wheels.

If you’re lucky enough to have picked more than three red or blue pointers, you will win even more! You will automatically win 100 extra coins if you picked four blue pointers or 200 extra coins for more than four blue pointers. If you picked four or more red pointers, you will automatically win an extra 250 coins.

If any color pointer is completely missing from your picks, you don’t get to spin the corresponding wheel at all–with one exception. If you have only picked yellow pointers, the center pointer on the red wheel will light up, so you still get to spin the red wheel along with the yellow wheel.

The segments on the red and blue wheel indicate coin values while the segments on the yellow wheels contain multipliers. Blue wheel values range from 30 to 1,000 coins. Red wheel values range from 100 to 5,000 coins. The yellow wheel win multipliers are 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 7x, and 10x your coin win.

Determining your win– the sky is the limit!

Now only one thing remains for you to do to determine your prize. Press the spin button to spin the wheels.

When the wheels stop, the amount won is calculated by adding all of the coin values indicated by lit pointers on the red and blue wheels plus any additional wins resulting from having extra red and/or blue pointers. The grand total is then multiplied by the sum of all values indicated by lit pointers on the yellow wheel.

Like the name of the slot suggests, you could indeed win a fortune. If you have the bankroll and nerves of steel needed to make maximum bets, wins of hundreds of thousands of dollars are possible.

How I fared playing the game in demo mode

I didn’t amass a fortune, but on the whole, I fared quite well considering that in three of four playing sessions, I was very undercapitalized for my bet size. In one of them I even scored a very impressive win.

The first three sessions (at three different online casinos) all used a hypothetical bet size of $50 since, despite the starting bankroll of only $1,000, $50 was the minimum bet. Then I discovered that at Unibet Online Casino, the minimum bet size in demo mode was only 50 cents, the same as for real money wagers. But dropping my bet all the way from $50 to 50 cents was too extreme for my taste. So, for my final playing session, I opted instead for a 10 cent coin and $5 bet.

Session 1: -$35

Betting $50 per spin, my first seven spins came up empty before I finally got my first “win” of $40. After that lackluster start, most of the other paying combinations in the main game were also very small, so by the time three scatter symbols landed, I was facing a $560 deficit. The Mini-Wheel Bonus paid $135, but I was still losing $425. However, back in the main game shortly afterward, stacked wilds and the Multi-Way Xtra feature produced a “big win” of $500 that brought me very close to even

Session 2: +$1,410

I did not change my bet size, but what a difference! After losing the first two spins, I won $100 on a spin of four red cars paying two ways. The good luck continued only a few spins later when I triggered the Triple Extreme Spin Bonus with five bonus symbols, But because I was betting $50 on every spin, going into the bonus I was down by $200.

I was allowed to pick five envelopes (one for each bonus symbol) and wound up with three red pointers, 1 blue pointer, and 1 yellow pointer. The end result was a “big win” of $1,610 for a net win of $1,410. At that point, I did the smart thing and ended the session.

Session 3: +165

Again playing with a bet size of $50, this time, much to my surprise, I won $135 (less the cost of my bet) on the very first spin. However, a succession of non-winning spins and very small wins left me with a $310 deficit when three scatter symbols triggered the Mini-Wheel Bonus. The bonus erased all but $5 of the loss. But instead of quitting, I continued to play.

As new losses brought the deficit back up to $325, just as I started to think that not quitting when I was almost even was a big mistake, I triggered the Mini-Wheel Bonus a second time and won $540. After subtracting the triggering bet of $50, I ended the session with a $165 profit.
Session 4: -$92

Would my good luck hold up betting $5 a spin instead of $50. There was only one way to find out.

After winning nothing on the first five spins, the first payout of $5 was almost meaningless. The other payouts in the main game were also tiny, so while I triggered the Mini-Wheel Bonus early, I was already down by $119. The Mini-Wheel Bonus couldn’t have been more aptly named, producing a mini-win of only $18.

Continued play brought similar results, culminating in triggering the Mini-Wheel Bonus a second time for another very small win. Despite the message at the start of play that “good things always come in threes,” I decided not to continue playing in the hope of triggering the Mini-Wheel Bonus a third time. Instead, I accepted my $92 loss and called it a day.

Conclusion

Even when I was not winning, I found this online slot game to be highly entertaining, and I think you will, too. Until I started playing, I could not have imagined that “facing your fortune” could be so much fun.

Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin will no doubt appeal to a very wide range of slot players, especially fans of the Wheel of Fortune TV show. However, despite the wide range of bet sizes (at least when playing for real money), this game is probably better geared for high rollers and mid-range players than very small bettors. The potential for big winnings is definitely there, but this is probably a game where you need to bet big to win big.

That said, it is important to choose your bet size with care and not overbet your bankroll. Also, if you trigger either of the bonus rounds but especially the Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin, stop playing immediately afterward and pocket your winnings. Don’t give the slot a chance to take back what you have just won and more.

Like many other online slots, Wheel of Fortune Triple Extreme Spin is in some ways great and in other ways not so great. Here is a recap of this game’s hits and misses.
