A winning ticket sold out of South Carolina in Beaufort County that matched all five white balls. However, the winning ticket barely missed the mark of winning the whole jackpot by not matching the Megaball. Fortunately, the lucky winner purchased the $1 Megaplier to boost the prize from $1 million to $2 million.
According to the SC Lottery, the odds of winning $2 million on Mega Millions are 1 in 12,607,306. Additionally, the odds of a 2x multiplier occurring are 1 in 3.
