Sidney Crosby is back.
“Sid the Kid” has been sidelined since mid-November when he had surgery for a “muscle injury repair.” He returned to practice on Dec. 31 and will play on Jan. 14 when the Pittsburgh Penguins host the Minnesota Wild.
The Penguins tweeted Crosby’s return a little after 11 a.m. ET.
Pittsburgh ready for Crosby return

Crosby last played on Nov. 9. The Penguins went 18-6-4 in his absence and possess the third-best record in the Eastern Conference (28-12-5). Crosby hasn’t been the only ailing Penguin. The team suffered 188 man-games lost this season.
