Even though it’s February, Pennsylvania casinos are still celebrating holidays, from Groundhog Day to Valentine’s Day to anniversaries at two properties.
Throughout the state, players can reap bonus points, free buffets, and shots at new cars and cash prizes. Presque Isle in Erie, marking the 11th anniversary of its opening, and Hollywood near Harrisburg, observing its 10th, are offering cash, free play, and parties for their players.

Groundhog Day shadow fever
Depending on the official outcome of Groundhog Day, Momentum players club members will will earn double or triple points from noon Feb. 2 to 3 a.m. Feb. 3 at Mohegan Sun Pocono. If Punxsutawney Phil, Pennsylvania’s most famous groundhog, sees his shadow and predicts six more weeks of winter weather, Momentum club members will get double points.
If he doesn’t see his shadow, meaning an early onset of spring, club members get triple points. Club members who use their card at any slot machine or table game, excluding live poker, are eligible. The additional points will be credited automatically.
Play and buffet
Earn four status points with slot or table game play Wednesday through Sunday to qualify for a free buffet. When you’ve earned your points, swipe your Momentum card at any promotional kiosk to receive a buffet voucher.
The voucher must be printed by the end of the earning period each day. For play from Wednesday through Saturday, the voucher will be valid through the close of business on the following day. For play on Sunday, the voucher will be valid until close of business.
A player may qualify for only one free buffet coupon per person per day. Standard pricing is $15.99 for lunch, $19.99 for weekday or weekend brunch, and $25.99 for weekend dinner. The buffet is closed Monday and Tuesday.
Million Dollar Madness
Each Saturday in February, players can get a chance to spin a wheel with a top prize of $10,000 cash on Feb. 3, 10, and 17, and $1 million cash on Feb. 24.
On each Saturday, four people will be selected in a drawing at the top of each hour from noon to 9 p.m., and each gets to spin the wheel three times. Players club members get one drawing entry for each status point earned through 8:59 p.m. Feb. 24, with 10X entries on Thursdays.

Go for the Gold
Players club members can earn game cards that yield free play when the U.S. Olympic team medals at the Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. XClub members who earn 40 entries can receive one game card per day from Feb. 5 through 8. The Olympic Games will be from Feb. 9 to 25.
If the United States wins a medal in the sport you picked, you will receive $50 in free play for gold, $25 for silver, and $10 for bronze. If the team wins more than one medal in the sport, you get the free-play value of each. Free play will be automatically added to the players club card at the end of the games and will be valid Feb. 26 through March 1.
Poker high hand bonus
Parx, which recently opened a 48-table poker room inside the main casino, is offering a variety of high-hand bonuses from Feb. 5 to 25:
