According to the figures released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, PA online casinos booked $160.3 million in gross revenue in January 2023.

Pennsylvania’s three-month run of record-breaking online casino numbers fell short in January, but nonetheless, still an impressive number. January is down just 3.9% from December’s record-breaking month of $166.9 million.

“While they failed to break another record in January, PA online casinos produced $160.3 million in gross revenue last month,” said Chris Imperiale, Managing Editor of Playin Pennsylvania. “This came up about just $7 million shy, or 3.9% short of the all-time, all-market US iGaming mark from December. It represented a 23.3% increase from January 2022.

“In addition to online casino growth, retail slots and table games, up 20% and 7% year over year respectively, helped propel PA gaming revenue to an 18% increase over January 2022,” Imperiale added. With the opening of another casino (Parx Shippensburg) at the end of January, and more online casinos on the way, the Pennsylvania gaming industry is primed for continued growth in the coming months.”
