The winds of change are doubling down.

This past week, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced via a press release two new promotions for June. The pair or promotions involve Keno: random doublers and a coupon-filled ticket machine.

Keno doublers on Friday nights

According to the Lottery’s press release, one of the new programs is called “Doubler Fridays“.

Randomly-chosen four-spot Keno tickets purchased between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Fridays will print with a “2X Doubler” message that will double any prizes won on the ticket.

The doubler is good for prizes up to $2 million and is available, the press release notes, at “all 9,400 Pennsylvania Lottery retailers.”

Winning tickets can be scanned via the iLottery app.

Wind-machine coupon contest

The second promotion the Lottery is running is a game in which contestants can step inside a wind machine and try and catch up to $15 in Keno coupons they can use for free plays.

The promotions will move from location to location throughout the state. Each day, the Lottery will set up the wind machine at two separate locations. The first promo will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., then will head to a new location and run from 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

According to a schedule provided by the Lottery, the wind-machine tour will start at Cigar Box in Hazleton on June 18 and end at Rumors Tavern in Zelienople on July 27.

The Lottery notes that the promotion will end when all coupons have been won. Each customer gets one chance.

Promos mark launch of iLottery

In Oct. 2017, the Pennsylvania state legislature approved Act 42, a gambling expansion bill that, among other things, included a provision in which the PA Lottery could expand its operations to include online games.

As a result, the Lottery spent seven months fine-tuning its products and, on June 4, the organization launched its online games.

Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko said in a press release that the new offering of online games further’s the organization’s mission to raise money for state programs.

“PA iLottery games are a fun, new way to play and win from home or while on the go. iLottery is a big part of our effort to meet our players where they already are while generating new funds to benefit older Pennsylvanians.”

According to the release, those over 18 can play the following games via iLottery platforms:

  • Big Money SLINGO
  • Bigfoot
  • Cash Buster Towers
  • Cash in the Lamp
  • Crossword Cash
  • Foxin’ Wins
  • Monster Wins
  • Robin Hood
  • Super Cash Buster
  • Super Gems
  • Volcano Eruption

To play, you have to be “physically located in the state of Pennsylvania”, Svitko noted in the release.

The Lottery advises those in the state to play responsibly and, as such, the iLottery allows you to set time, deposit, and spend limits.
