Live dealer Lightning Roulette
Evolution will launch Lightning Roulette in Pennsylvania on May 31 at 11 a.m. The game received approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and PA online casinos can offer the game. Lightning Roulette is already live in New Jersey. The main element of the game is how it got its striking name. In each round, between one and five Lucky Numbers are struck by lightning and given multiplied payouts of between 50x and 500x.
What is live dealer Lightning Roulette?
- Players can bet on the full range of Roulette bets like in the standard European Live Roulette.
- They also get additional chances to win through randomly generated Lucky Numbers and Lucky Payouts (multipliers of 50x, 100x, 200x, 300x, 400x and 500x)
- After all player bets are accepted, the amount of Lucky Numbers (one to five), the Lucky Numbers themselves and the amounts of the Lucky Payouts are randomly generated. Each Lucky Number pays one of the Lucky Payouts of between 50 and 500:1 if the ball lands on the Lucky Number and if the player has made a Straight Up bet* on that number.
- Non-multiplied Straight Bets pay 30:1. All other bets such as splits, corners, red/black and dozens pay the same as standard Roulette..
Lightning Roulette earned Product Innovation of the Year in the Global Gaming Awards and Game of the Year at the EGR Operator Awards in 2018. In Europe, Lightning Europe has several thousand players at the same time. However, it is available in more markets overseas.

Claesson said Evolution is working with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to bring several new games to the Pennsylvania market,
The current offerings have been “very well received.”
“I believe the combination of trust, such as seeing the cards being shuffled and dealt rather than a random number generator deciding the outcome, along with the social aspect of interacting with a game presenter and other players in the chat makes it very appealing for players.”
Evolution Gaming in Philadelphia
To be able to live stream games for PA online casinos, Evolution needed to have a studio physically located in Pennsylvania. Evolution’s Philadelphia location opened in October 2020. It’s where “game presenters,” Evolution’s term for live dealers, bring the casino action to players 24/7/365.
Since its opening, Evolution has expanded the size of the studio twice. They are currently in construction doubling the size of their studio space yet again. The company, like its name and online gambling in the U.S., is still in the early stages but growing at a rapid rate.
