College basketball teams are fighting for seeding or an invite to the NCAA Tournament. Your plans for the Big Dance require a lot less work.

This year is the first time sports bettors in Pennsylvania can bet on the NCAA Tournament online. You can place your bets from anywhere in the state but the games are best enjoyed with a crowd.

We can’t advocate playing hooky or give you an airtight excuse for taking the afternoon off. However, if you do find yourself searching for places to watch the 2020 NCAA Tournament, consider this your guide and your calendar.

  • NCAA Tournament Round 1: Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20
  • NCAA Tournament Round 2: Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22
  • Sweet 16: Thursday, March 26 and Friday, March 27
  • Elite 8: Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29
  • Final Four: Saturday, April 4
  • 2020 NCAA Championship game: Monday, April 6

Here is a list of retail sportsbooks in Pennsylvania and their plans for the 2020 NCAA Tournament.

NCAA Tournament at Rivers Philadelphia

Rivers Casino Philadelphia is hosting “March Mania” viewing parties on March 19 and  March 20 at the BetRivers Sportsbook and The Event Center.

Starting on March 1, tickets for reserved seating in the BetRivers Sportsbook tickets will be reduced to $75 per-person, per day. The one-week discount (regular price $125) runs through March 7.

Reserved searing in The Event Center is $50 per-person for only March 19.

Each ticket includes a guaranteed seat in the sportsbook and access to “the ultimate game-day buffet.”

The BetRivers Sportsbook has 22 self-service betting kiosks and six betting windows. Separate seat reservations are required for each day and are on a first-come, first-served basis. The BetRivers Sportsbook will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. both days, and seating accommodates approximately 100 guests. Additional viewing locations for the tournament also include Jack’s Bar + Grill and Hugo’s Frog Bar & Chop House during regular dining hours.

Jim Llewellyn, BetRivers Sportsbook manager at Rivers Casino Philadelphia, commented in a press release:

“The BetRivers Sportsbook and The Event Center will be Philly’s game-day destinations to watch, wager and enjoy this year’s tournament. We had an exciting football season, and we’re looking forward to hosting the ultimate viewing parties to kick off opening weekend of the tournament.”

March Mania sportsbook ticket giveaway at BetRivers

A visit to the sportsbook could lead to a trip to Atlanta. From now through March 15, when you wager $200 or more on a college or NBA game, guests at BetRivers Sportsbook will receive one entry into the March Mania Sportsbook ticket giveaway.

A winner will be selected at noon on March 16. The winner gets a March Mania prize pack featuring an all-expense paid trip to the semifinals and championship games in Atlanta.

NCAA Tournament at Rivers Pittsburgh

The largest sportsbook in Pennsylvania has big plans for the 2020 NCAA Tournament.

“March Mania” viewing parties will be held at the BetRivers Sportsbook and The Event Center at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. Included in the purchase of reserved seating is either an all-you-can-eat lunch or dinner buffet.

Here are the options for reservations at BetRivers Sportsbook for March 19 and March 20:

$875 seats up to 5 people

The Event Center at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh

The Event Center has four large screens to watch all the college basketball action.

Reserved seating options include:

Free seating in The Event Center is limited.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is also offering reserved seating for other dates in addition to the usual opening days of the tourney. Gift cards for food and beverage are included with purchase.

NCAA Tournament at Harrah’s Philadelphia

The Book at Harrah’s Philadelphia is readying for NCAA Tournament action. If you want to add a level of competition to your March Madness viewing, Harrah’s is home to the area’s only Topgolf Swing Suite.

Seat reservations are available by session March 19 – March 22, starting at 11 a.m. each day. All-you-can-eat food inclusive options are also available, along with an a-la-carte food and drink menu.

The Book breaks its reserved seating into sessions:

  • Afternoon session on Thursday and Friday: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Evening session on Thursday and Friday: 6:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
  • Saturday session: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Sunday session: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Pricing per session is as follows:

  • “Dream Seats” at The Book (Food inclusive): $60
  • Bar seat at The Book: $40
  • All sportsbook seating: $20
  • Top Golf Swing Suite Bay: $250

Multiple day options available (Dream Seats only, food inclusive):

  • Full day on March 19 or March 20: $100
  • Two full days on March 19 and March 20: $175
  • Entire weekend: $275

All purchased seats will receive the VIP line access for sports betting.

NCAA Tournament at Valley Forge Casino Resort

In 1992, Duke’s Christian Laettner‘s turnaround jump-shot became the most iconic moment ever in the NCAA Tournament. “The Shot” gave Duke a 104-103 win over Kentucky in the East Regional Finals to send Duke to the Final Four. Duke then went on to win their second consecutive National Championship when they blew out Michigan.

To celebrate their one year anniversary, the FanDuel Sportsbook at Valley Forge Casino Resort will host Laettner on March 20. The former NCAA legend, NBA player and Olympic Dream Team alum will be at the FanDuel book from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. for what is being called an “intimate experience.” The event will include a meet and greet, autographs, giveaways and a Q&A on his career.

NCAA Tournament at Parx

Parx opened a new, state-of-the-art 7,500 square foot sportsbook over the summer. Reserved seating and VIP booths are available for purchase on March 19, 20, 21, 22.

NCAA Tournament at Mohegan Sun Pocono

The Unibet Sportsbook and Molly O’Sheas at Mohegan Sun Pocono will be showing college basketball action on its ten new big screen TVs. There will be extended food service hours along with food and drink specials at both.

NCAA Tournament at The Meadows

The sportsbook at The Meadows is the only sportsbook where you can earn mycash and mychoice tier points when you place wagers.

From March 17-31, guests can enjoy half-price domestic drafts and $3.00 Moscow Mules during college basketball games.
