The Mega Millions Grand Prize cracks $100 million tonight, after steadily cranking up for a month since the last time the jackpot was hit. For March 1, the jackpot currently sits at an estimated $102 million. That amounts to an impressive $67.7 million in cash before taxes, if a potential winner opts for the lump sum payout.
There were no “mega” prizes won in the previous drawing, but 12 players matched four of the five white balls plus the Mega Ball to win the third-tier prize. Half of those lucky ticket holders spent the extra $1 to add the Megaplier option to their ticket, tripling their $10,000 prize to $30,000.

Three PA Lottery Cash 5 Top Prizes awarded in one week
In PA Lottery news, there has been another jackpot winner from PA’s popular Cash 5 with Quick Cash draw game. That’s the third jackpot hit in one week. The Feb. 28 Top Prize was $200,000 when one Philadelphia player picked all five numbers correctly. Rising Sun Coastal Mart on Rising Sun Avenue will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. Winners aren’t known until the prize is claimed, so check your tickets.
Last week began with another Philadelphia player hitting a $418,000 jackpot on the Feb. 21 drawing. Days later on Feb. 24, a ticket sold in Blair County won the Top Prize, which had reached $250,000.
The odds of hitting the Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 962,598. To play, players choose five numbers from 1 to 43, and must match all five numbers drawn to hit the Grand Prize. There are prizes for matching fewer numbers as well. More than 12,000 tickets won prizes in Saturday’s drawing.
