The Mega Millions jackpot just keeps climbing, as no tickets matched all six numbers in the May 15 drawing. The magic number is now $274 million ($221.8 million for the cash option).
It would be a great time to hit the jackpot, considering when it hits, it will reset to $20 million rather than the usual $40 million. That is because coronavirus closures and effects have reduced sales of lottery products.
Even with some lotto retailers still closed, draw tickets are available for purchase online in Pennsylvania. You can sign up to the PA iLottery through our links here and receive a free $20 and deposit bonus to get you started.
Recent winning numbers, winners
The winning Mega Millions numbers on May 15 were: 11 – 17 – 32 – 33 – 46 and the megaball was 25. The megaplier was 3x. With the $1 megaplier in play, any winning ticket besides the Grand Prize is multiplied by the number drawn.
No one matched all five white balls to win $1 million (or $3 million with the megaplier). But 29 players matched four white balls and the megaball. That was worth $10,000 for most, but six of them had the megaplier to triple the winnings to $30,000.
The first five balls in the Mega Millions are drawn from a set numbered 1 through 70, while the megaball will be between 1 and 25. Overall chances of winning a prize are 1 in 24.
Winning Mega Millions numbers May 19
Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. We will post the winning numbers for May 19 here.
Winning numbers: 8 – 19 – 25 – 36 – 66 megaball 9
Megaplier: 2X
If no one hits the jackpot yet again, it will continue to climb for the May 22 drawing. Roll amounts now depend on sales and interest, with no minimum guaranteed. But the Mega Millions jackpot keeps climbing – and fast.
Best of luck, and as always, play responsibly.
