Recent winners, changes to the lottery
Friday’s winning numbers were 28 – 30 – 31 – 35 – 66 and the mega ball was 14. The megaplier was 2x.
No one hit the jackpot and no tickets matched all five white balls to win $1 million (or $2 million with the multiplier). But 22 tickets matched four white balls and the megaball. Sixteen of those won $10,000 while six claimed $20,000 with the $1 megaplier added to the ticket.
When the next jackpot hits, the grand prize will reset to $20 million, rather than the regular $40 million. Another change that has resulted from reduced sales during the coronavirus pandemic is the roll amount.
For the time being, there is no minimum increase from drawing to drawing. But with the jackpot over $200 million, that hardly matters as lotto players flock for a $2 chance at life-changing money.

Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET. The first five balls are drawn from a set numbered 1-70. One gold mega ball follows, and is always between 1 and 25.
