On the other hand, 2013 brought a change where the PA Lottery only publicizes the winner’s first name and first initial of the last name. This change came from previous attempts by the PA House to allow lottery winners a chance to claim prizes anonymously, which did not pass.
Finally, while the article continuously references the Lottery Winner’s Handbook found on the PA Lottery site, it appears that the Handbook is no longer available. Thus, for now, it appears that PA jackpot lottery winners can remain anonymous because the trust “Peace of Mind” successfully claimed the prize.
