Tuesday is Mega Millions drawing day. The current jackpot for March 15, 2022 is an estimated $22 million, after resetting last week when a player in NY won the rolling Top Prize. The lump sum value is $14.5 million if someone hits it and chooses to take the money in a single payment.
The Mega Millions jackpot history shows us that the Grand Prize really can be hit at any time. The last time the jackpot was hit two weeks in a row was in 2020. On July 24 that year, a NJ player won the $123 million prize. Then exactly a week later on July 31, the $22 million jackpot was hit in CA.

The Tuesday drawing on July 19 that year crowned a $25 million winner in WA, and the next drawing that Friday had two jackpot winners. That made for three Top Prize winners in just two drawings!
