PA casinos paid out some big jackpots

Casinos in Pennsylvania, except for Rivers Casino Philadelphia, are currently open. Yes, there are updated safety measures and limited capacity, but there are still plenty of ways to win.

Even if you aren’t ready to return to brick-and-mortar establishments, it doesn’t mean you are shut out of the action. Pennsylvania is home to nine online casinos that offer many of the same slots and table games in the comfort and safety of your own home.

Since casinos reopened in early June, there have been jackpot winners, hefty slot payouts and big bets cashed out.

The following is a sampling of some recent winners.

Million-dollar Morikawa bettor

Although the winner wasn’t Pennyslvania-based, the bet was placed on an online sportsbook available in PA. And it was the biggest winner in recent memory.

An Illinois bettor won $1.1 million on various wagers placed over the weekend on BetRivers. The bettor, identified as Cashout King on Twitter, won big wagering on the Workday Charity Open this weekend. Three Collin Morikawa-specific bets reaped over $700,000.

  • $4,000 on Morikawa (+5000) to lead after RD1: $204,000
  • $28,025.84 on Morikawa (+750) to finish Top 5: $238,217.09
  • $10,000 on Morikawa (+2800) to win event: $290,000

After Round 1, Morikawa was +5000 to hold the lead. He held off Justin Thomas in a playoff for his first PGA Tour win this year.

Richard Schwartz, president of Rush Street Interactive, which operates BetRivers, commented:

“This is the biggest payout ever at the newly launched BetRivers.com in Illinois and in fact at all BetRivers.com sportsbooks, which are also live in Pennsylvania, Indiana and Colorado. Our BetRivers online sportsbooks have grown extremely fast by offering users a high-quality user experience and chances to win big. Well, winning big is exactly what just happened this weekend at BetRivers.com for this bettor who won over a million dollars!”
