Philadelphia Eagles and Fox Bet team up for fan experiences

The Philadelphia Eagles made a deal on Tuesday, but it wasn’t to get help for their shoddy offensive line.

The Eagles teamed with Fox Bet, one of Pennsylvania’s online sportsbooks, for a multiyear partnership. Fox Bet’s “nest” at Lincoln Financial Field will be in the form of a 4,000-square-foot lounge and production studio.

The sponsorship agreement comes with more than a lounge and production studio.

For Fox Bet, it also includes:

  • Broadcast, digital and social media advertising on team channels.
  • Custom promotions and a branding presence on game days.
  • Prominent messaging on the stadium’s LED board and end zone boards, and signage on concourse levels.
  • Becoming the presenting sponsor of the Eagles Tailgate Crew, tailgating pods featuring Eagles Entertainment groups that will interact with Eagles fans, when they return, in the parking lots on game days.

In addition to gaining naming rights to the new lounge and media studio at Lincoln Financial Field, Fox Bet will become an official partner of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Andrew Schneider, CMO of Fox Bet, commented:

“Fox Bet enhances the fan experience in a big way, and this is a fan base that knows and appreciates big things. They’re passionate, tough and willing to do whatever it takes to win. To connect our offering to this one-of-a-kind fan base is a game-changer. Eagles fans are going to love this, and we’re honored to have this association with a team that is primed for a successful 2020 season.”

The Fox Bet Lounge

On Aug. 27, the Eagles announced that no fans will be permitted at Lincoln Financial Field for home games until further notice.

Once the in-person sports experience returns to full capacity, the Fox Bet Lounge will be open to up to 380 ticketed fans on game day two-and-a-half hours prior to kickoff and one hour postgame. At the Fox Bet Lounge at Lincoln Financial Field, guests will get all-inclusive food and beverage options, behind-the-scenes access and prime locations to watch player arrivals and live postgame press conferences.

Of course, guests can expect the Fox Bet Lounge to feel like a sportsbook. It will have wall-to-wall TV monitors and sports lounge seating, which usually means black leather seats with cup holders.

Catherine Carlson, senior vice president of revenue and strategy for the Philadelphia Eagles, said:

“This new, fully integrated partnership with Fox Bet has enabled us to reimagine the way we deliver content to our fans in a fun and innovative way. Every week during the NFL season, this new interactive studio will bring Eagles fans closer to the game through exclusive access and interviews, football commentary from some of the biggest on-air Fox Sports personalities, and many other surprises along the way. We look forward to growing our partnership with Fox Bet, an industry leader that continues to expand its footprint in the Philadelphia market.”

Eagles and Fox Bet content

Content is a big part of the pact between the Eagles and Fox Bet. The new studio will have exclusive content across multiple platforms led by Eagles on-air personalities, Eagles legends and guest appearances from Fox Bet contributors.

Additionally, Fox Bet will be presenting sponsor of a new series, Eagles Edge, airing on Eagles’ digital channels following games. Eagles Edge is set to be filmed on home game days and broadcast across a number of digital team platforms.

Not the first gambling partner for the Eagles

Last October, the Eagles entered into a multiyear partnership with Unibet that made it an official casino partner of the team. It was explicitly stated that sports betting was not a part of the deal and would not be promoted in the partnership.

Unibet received permanent branding presence on Lincoln Financial Field’s newly constructed Northwest Suites on the main concourse.

Busy day for sportsbook announcements in PA

The Fox Bet online sportsbook launched in Pennsylvania in September 2019 through its partnership with Mount Airy Casino. At the time, it was the fifth sportsbook app in the state. Fox Bet and the Philadelphia Eagles’ announcement comes on the same day that the 10th PA online sportsbook arrives. The much-anticipated Barstool Sportsbook is set for a 3 p.m. soft launch in Pennsylvania on Sept. 15.

Fox Bet leverages personalities like Colin Cowherd to market its product. Barstool, with outspoken and controversial founder Dave Portnoy, is using a similar strategy if its prearrival marketing is any indication.
