PA sportsbooks don't offer NFL Draft markets, but they did release 2023 win totals and other futures.

PA online sports betting unveiled NFL futures and win totals for the new season, but not NFL Draft odds. Residents in the Keystone State will need to cross the border into a neighboring location to place wagers on draft markets.

It’s not often a conference champion enters an NFL Draft with a top 10 pick. Thanks to Howie Roseman’s magic, the Philadelphia Eagles, fresh off a Super Bowl appearance, have the 10th and 30th picks in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Pittsburgh Steelers just missed the playoffs in 2022 with a 9-8 record and hold the 17th pick in the upcoming draft. Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season in Pittsburgh.

As the Eagles dominated the NFC and the Steelers are on the rise with Kenny Pickett entering his second season, both Pennsylvania teams have high expectations in 2023.

Why PA sportsbooks don’t offer NFL Draft markets

Any bettor in the Pennsylvania area must cross over to New Jersey, Ohio, Maryland or West Virginia to bet on the NFL Draft. New York does not have any NFL Draft markets available, either.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) restricts betting on the NFL Draft in Pennsylvania due to Act 42 in the state’s gambling expansion law:

“The business of accepting wagers on sporting events or on the individual performance statistics of athletes in a sporting event or combination of sporting events by any system or method of wagering, including over the Internet through websites and mobile applications. The term includes, but is not limited to, exchange wagering, parlays, over-under, moneyline, pools and straight bets.”

The NFL Draft does not constitute a sporting event in Pennsylvania. Other events excluded from betting in PA are the NBA Lottery, the Oscars and any political event.

2023 NFL Draft odds

Bettors in Southeastern Pennsylvania can easily cross over the New Jersey border to bet on the NFL Draft.

DraftKings Sportsbook has tons of betting markets for the 2023 event.

Here are odds for the position of the first player the Eagles draft:

  • Offensive lineman: -140
  • Defensive lineman/Edge: +165
  • Cornerback: +450
  • Running back: +1000
  • Safety: +3500
  • Wide receiver: +5000
  • Linebacker: +6500
  • Tight end: +7500
  • Kicker/Punter/Long snapper: +20000
  • Quarterback: +20000

Here are odds for the position of the first player the Steelers draft:

  • Cornerback: +100
  • Offensive lineman: +140
  • Defensive lineman/Edge: +425
  • Wide receiver: +1800
  • Safety: +3500
  • Tight end: +4000
  • Linebacker: +5000
  • Quarterback: +10000
  • Running back: +10000
  • Kicker/Punter/Long snapper: +20000

FanDuel Sportsbook offers individual draft pick markets for the first 10 selections. Since the Eagles are picking 10th, here are the odds for who they will draft, should they stay at No. 10:

  • Northwestern OT Peter Skoronski: +200
  • Ohio State OT Paris Johnson Jr.: +400
  • Georgia Edge Nolan Smith: +500
  • Georgia DT Jalen Carter: +600
  • Iowa Edge Lukas Van Ness: +650
  • Texas RB Bijan Robinson: +1000
  • Oregon CB Christian Gonzalez: +1200
  • Clemson Edge Myles Murphy: +1600
  • Georgia OT Broderick Jones: +2000
  • Illinois CB Devon Witherspoon: +2000

NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah has the Eagles taking Iowa edge rusher Lukas Van Ness with the 10th pick:

“The Eagles always focus on the line of scrimmage, and Van Ness has the versatility to play inside or outside. Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox both were re-signed this offseason, but they’re playing on one-year deals.”

Jeremiah has the Steelers selecting Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones at No. 17:

“This would be a dream scenario for the Steelers as they continue to overhaul their offensive line this offseason.”

NFL win totals and playoff odds at PA sportsbooks

The Eagles and Steelers are each in different positions as franchises at the moment.

The Eagles are ready to win now and are coming off a tough Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in February. The Steelers making the playoffs in 2023 would be considered a successful season.

Win totals are up at PA sportsbooks. DraftKings PA lists the Eagles at Over 10.5 wins (-150) / Under 10.5 wins (+120). PA bettors are going to have to pay extra juice for the over. With the Eagles making Jalen Hurts the highest paid NFL player of all time, the Birds should always be a double-digit win squad going forward.

As the Eagles’ total is set above 10, they are also heavy favorites to make the playoffs again. The Eagles are the favorites to win the NFC East at +115, with Dallas second at +175. With that, the Eagles are -370 to make the playoffs and +280 to miss the postseason.

The Steelers have the longest odds to win the AFC North, coming in at +500. In a tough division, the Steelers have an uphill battle to make the playoffs. DraftKings has the Steelers at +135 to qualify for the postseason and -165 to miss it. The win total for the Steelers is set at Over 8.5 (-120) / Under 8.5 (+100).

Betting on Pittsburgh’s win total might be the best bet to make with Tomlin’s track record and Pickett entering his second season.
