The Saturday, March 27 drawing of Powerball had winning numbers of 6 – 14 – 38 – 39 – 65 and a red Powerball of 6. One sole ticket sold in Florida matched all the numbers to take home the big jackpot of $238 million.
The Florida Lottery announced that Publix located at 16560 North Nebraska Avenue in Lutz sold the winner. Moreover, there is a hefty bonus commission of $95,000 for selling the lucky ticket.
In Florida, jackpot winners have a total of 180 days starting from the date of the drawing to step forward and claim the prize. Yet, note that if the winner chooses the one-time lump sum cash payment, the timeframe becomes much shorter at 60 days from the drawing date to file the claim.
